Come Join the 2025 BRSC Winter Carnival at Park City and Deer Valley !!!

Greetings Members!  The 2025 trips are selling fast and I wanted to let you know about one of the best trips in the lineup.  Utah has the “Greatest Snow on Earth”, and that’s where we’re headed.  The 2025 Blue Ridge Ski Council (BRSC) Winter Carnival is setting up camp at the Peaks Hotel in Park City, just a short shuttle ride to two world-class ski resorts: Park City and Deer Valley.   Miles and miles of terrain to ski!  The trip is in the first week of February, which is one of the best ski weeks of the season.  Two resorts.  One trip.  A prime week in the ski season.  Over 100 of your fellow BRSC ski friends with included welcome and apres’ ski social events plus a group dinner.  This trip has a lot to offer!  I can’t say enough about Utah, where I return year after year for great skiing.  Many of our members also return, and some have even moved there!  The Peaks Hotel is a club favorite property with great amenities including daily hot breakfast and free town & mountain shuttles.  This trip is sure to be a good time!

Many of our Ikon Pass holders forget that it allows you to ski at Deer Valley, and how accessible the mountain is to Park City.  Deer Valley is an excellent ski area with over 2,000 skiable acres with 27% beginner, 41% intermediate, and 32% advanced.  Some of the best grooming in North America, plus outstanding advanced terrain for our expert skiers.  The intermediate terrain is spread all over the mountain to enjoy run after run from an extremely well-managed lift system.  When I skied there last year, I didn’t want to leave.  There were so many challenging runs with bumps and trees that I never skied before.   After the third day, I couldn’t bring myself to leave and go over to Park City.  Then I found the Stein Erickson Lodge which offered an amazing luxury lunch that was a real touch of class.  If you haven’t skied Deer Valley, you’re missing something very special.

Park City now includes the old Canyons ski area, boasting a stunning 7,300 skiable acres!  Your Epic Pass will unlock access to over 330 trails accessible by a network of 40 lifts.  There is terrain there for every level of skier.  Spend Day 1 on the Park City side, Day 2 on the Canyons side, then settle in with your favorite runs for the rest of the week.  Many of our members have been to Park City over the years, so make new friends and have them show you the possibilities.

The Park City / Deer Valley trip is on 2-8 February 2025.  It’s selling for $2,494 which includes lodging, round-trip air from BWI to Salt Lake City, ground transportation from Salt Lake to Park City, daily hot breakfast, and all BRSC Western Carnival social events (welcome party, apres’ ski socials, and a farewell dinner banquet).  Plus, Columbia pre- and post-trip parties.  Lifts are not included as many of our members now purchase Epic and Ikon passes independently.  Park City is served by the Epic Pass and Deer Valley is served by the Ikon Pass.  Go to the CSC website to view the trip flyer and get other details: www.ColumbiaSkiClub.org.  The trip leaders will be happy to tell you more and get you signed up for your 2025 winter adventure.

Think Snow!
