CSC Food Drive for Howard County

Each November, the Columbia Ski Club holds a Food Drive to support the Howard County Food Bank. This year, we will hold a Virtual Food Drive from November 1-12! Here's how it works: Anytime between November 1 and November 12, click on the link [give.classy.org/SkiClub24], and you will be directed to the Columbia Ski Club Food Drive page. Fill in the form to donate, and submit. That's it! This year, the estimated cost for a Thanksgiving dinner is about $45; however, you can donate as much or as little as you like. The Howard County Food Bank will use all funds donated by Columbia Ski Club members to purchase holiday foods, such as turkeys, hams, potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing mix, pumpkin, gravy, rolls, and other typical holiday items. The items will be available at the Howard County Food Bank's store and 14 food pantries throughout the county for Food Bank clients during the holiday season. Your contributions will help make the holidays joyful and nourishing for families in our county who struggle daily with food insecurity.
At the Monthly Meeting Monday Nov 11
We will also be accepting donations of non-perishable foods, cash, or checks at the CSC meeting this Monday, November 11. The Food Bank always needs canned goods and non-perishable items, such as tuna, peanut butter, beans, rice, pasta, cereals, as well as non-food items such as women's products, diapers, baby formula, baby food, and pet food, All donations, including cash and checks (made out to the Howard County Food Bank) collected at the meeting will be taken to the Howard County Food Bank on Gerwig Lane.
